- Laws like the Army Act (1950) and Police Forces (Restriction of Rights) Act (1966) restrict freedoms such as forming unions or participating in public demonstrations.
- Military tribunals (court-martial) can be excluded from the writ jurisdiction of High Courts and the Supreme Court.
