MARG 2027 Scholarship Test Details
The MARG 2027 Scholarship Test gives aspirants an opportunity to earn scholarship support for the Integrated Prelims cum Mains and Mentorship Program. The test is available in both offline and online modes. Offline students can write the test at selected INSIGHTS IAS centres, while online mode is available for aspirants across India.
Offline Scholarship Test Centres
Students choosing offline mode can write the scholarship test at INSIGHTS IAS centres in Bengaluru, Delhi, Srinagar, Davanagere and Mangalore. Aspirants who cannot attend the test offline can choose the online mode and write the scholarship test from anywhere in India.

Prelims Test Design
Each GS and Current Affairs Prelims test will have 100 questions. CSAT tests will have 80 high-quality UPSC-standard multiple-choice questions. These tests are designed to strengthen conceptual clarity, improve accuracy, practise elimination techniques and build confidence for the actual UPSC Prelims examination.
Detailed Mains Test Structure
The Mains component of MARG 2027 is designed to gradually improve answer writing through sectional tests, full length tests and simulation-based practice. The program includes 41 GS Tests and 9 Essay Tests, taking the total Mains test count to 50.
Round-wise Mains Practice Format
Round 1 for GS1, GS2 and GS3: Each test will include 10 questions, with 5 questions of 10 marks and 5 questions of 15 marks.
Round 2 for GS1, GS2 and GS3: Each test will include 20 questions, with 10 questions of 10 marks and 10 questions of 15 marks.
Round 1 for GS Paper 4 Ethics: Each sectional test will include 8 questions, with 5 questions of 10 marks and 3 case studies of 20 marks.
Round 2 for GS Paper 4 Ethics: Each full length test will include 19 questions, with 13 questions of 10 marks and 6 case studies of 20 marks.
Round 3: Full length simulation tests will help students experience exam-like pressure and improve time management before the actual examination.
Mains Full Length Test Distribution
The program includes 15 GS Full Length Tests. GS Paper 1, GS Paper 2 and GS Paper 3 will have 3 full length tests each. GS Paper 4 will have 6 full length tests.
Each GS Paper 1, GS Paper 2 and GS Paper 3 full length test will include 20 questions. GS Paper 4 full length tests will include 19 questions with case-study-based practice.
Three-Round Preparation Approach
One of the strongest features of MARG 2027 is its three-round approach. Instead of testing students randomly, the program gradually moves from conceptual understanding to applied practice and then to advanced exam simulation.
1. Basic Round
