Press Note: Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024 | Date: 28 October 2025
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued the Reserve List for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024. Earlier (22 April 2025), UPSC had recommended 1009 candidates for appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS and other Central Services (Group ‘A’ & ‘B’) against 1129 vacancies. As per Rule 20(4) & 20(5) of the CSE Rules, 2024, a Consolidated Reserve List was maintained. Based on indents from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), an additional 114 candidates have now been recommended. The candidature of 15 candidates is provisional.
