UPSC CSE 2024 Final Vacancy Distribution (State-wise & Category-wise) Released

As per the official letter No.13013/03/2024-AIS(I) dated 21st May 2025, the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has released the final distribution of vacancies for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024. The total number of vacancies allocated for IAS through CSE-2024 is 180.

These vacancies have been distributed across various State Cadres, with break-up given for:

  • UR (Including EWS) – Unreserved and Economically Weaker Sections

  • OBC – Other Backward Classes

  • SC – Scheduled Castes

  • ST – Scheduled Tribes
    The distribution further distinguishes between Insider (I) and Outsider (O) quota allocations.
