About Kawal Tiger Reserve:
It is located in northeastern Telangana, bordering the Godavari River and Maharashtra. It serves as a catchment area for the Godavari and Kadam rivers. The reserve connects to Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra and Indravati Tiger Reserve in Chhattisgarh, facilitating wildlife movement. Its diverse habitats include dense forests, grasslands, and water bodies. Flora consists of a Southern Tropical Dry Deciduous Forest with teak and bamboo prominent.
