- Utilizing advanced remote sensing and GIS technologies, the initiative offers detailed state and district-wise analysis, along with an Agroforestry Suitability Index (ASI) for national prioritization.
Currently, agroforestry covers 8.65% of India’s land, and GROW aims to convert underutilized areas, especially wastelands, into productive agroforestry zones.
Agroforestry is a land use management system that combines forestry and agriculture technologies. It involves growing trees or shrubs among crops or pastureland.
