The Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC) has released a zero draft for an international treaty aimed at ending plastic pollution.
It is divided into four parts:
- The objectives
- The life cycle of plastics and plastic products
- Sustainable production and consumption of plastics
- Collectively addressing the implementation of the instrument
The treaty aims to promote sustainable production and consumption of plastics and improve waste management.
