Question 2 of 10
2. Question
1 pointsWhich of the following is the main purpose of a ‘Geographical Indication’ (GI) tag?
Correct
Ans: (d)
Explanation:
- The correct answer is (d). A GI tag is a type of intellectual property that identifies a product as originating from a specific geographical region. The main purpose of a GI tag is to protect the reputation of a product that is associated with a specific geographical region. This is done by preventing other producers from using the GI tag for products that are not made in the same region or that do not meet the same standards of quality. GI tags can also help to ensure that a product is made in a certain way, using traditional methods. This can be important for products that rely on traditional methods for their quality. Finally, GI tags can help to prevent counterfeiting of products. This is because the GI tag can be used to identify genuine products from counterfeits.

Question 4 of 10
4. Question
1 pointsWhat is the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Quota System?
Correct
ANS: (b)
Explanation:
- The correct answer is B. The IMF Quota System is a mechanism used by the International Monetary Fund to determine the financial and organizational commitments of its member countries. Quotas are essentially financial contributions that each member country makes to the IMF. These quotas then determine the country’s voting power, access to financial resources, and allocation of Special Drawing Rights (SDRs). The quotas are based on various factors such as the country’s economic size, openness, and reserves. This system ensures that countries with larger economies have a larger role in decision-making within the IMF, reflecting their relative economic importance.
