Question 3 of 10
3. Question
1 pointsConsider the following statements:
-
- Climate-resilient agriculture refers to farming practices that are unaffected by climate change.
- Climate-resilient agriculture focuses on adapting agricultural systems to the impacts of climate change.
- Climate-resilient agriculture only benefits large-scale commercial farms.
- Climate-resilient agriculture relies solely on the use of genetically modified crops.
How many of the statements given above is/are correct?

Ans: (a)
Explanation:
- Context: As climate change can reduce agricultural income by 15-25%, it is high time that climate-resilient agriculture (CRA) is valued and implemented more rigorously.
- Statement 1 is incorrect. Climate-resilient agriculture does not imply that farming practices are unaffected by climate change. Instead, it aims to minimize the negative impacts and risks posed by climate change on agriculture.
- Statement 2 is correct. Climate-resilient agriculture is an approach that emphasizes adapting agricultural systems to better withstand the effects of climate change. This involves implementing practices and technologies that improve water management, soil conservation, crop diversification, and other strategies to enhance the resilience of farming systems.

- Statement 4 is incorrect. While climate-resilient agriculture may incorporate the use of genetically modified crops as one possible strategy, it is not the sole reliance. Question 4 of 10
4. Question
1 pointsA young man named Mukesh has developed an addiction to a powerful illegal drug. He is fully aware of the harmful effects of drug abuse, but he finds it extremely difficult to quit. Mukesh’s family is deeply concerned about his well-being and has urged him to seek professional help. However, Mukesh insists that he should have the freedom to make his own choices, even if they have negative consequences. Which of the following statements best represents an ethical dilemma in this situation?
Correct
Ans: (d)
Explanation:
- Context: The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has launched a campaign called “Addiction Free Amrit Kaal” to make India a tobacco and drug-free nation among children. The campaign aims to create awareness and promote a healthier lifestyle by addressing the issue of tobacco and drug addiction among children.
- The correct answer is D because it represents a balanced approach that considers both Mukesh’s autonomy and his well-being. By attempting to understand the reasons behind Mukesh’s addiction, his family can provide a supportive environment and help him address any underlying issues. Encouraging him to seek professional help demonstrates their concern for his welfare while respecting his autonomy. This option recognizes the complexity of the situation and offers a compassionate response that balances personal freedom with the need for intervention in the face of addiction.

Question 5 of 10
5. Question
1 pointsYou are a manager at a company that encourages employee motivation and productivity. You notice that some of your employees spend a significant amount of time on social media during work hours. To address this issue, you decide to create a motivational social media campaign specifically tailored for your employees. Which of the following statements best represents an ethical dilemma in this situation?
Correct
Ans: (b)
Explanation:
- Context: Meta, the company behind Facebook, and the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) have launched the Amrit Generation campaign. This campaign aims to empower and engage the youth of India by inviting young people aged 16-18 to express their aspirations and dreams for the future through creating Reels on Instagram and Facebook.
- The correct answer is B). Encouraging employees to use social media for motivation may blur the boundaries between personal and professional use.
- This is an ethical dilemma because it raises the question of whether it is appropriate for employers to use social media to influence employee behavior. On the one hand, social media can be a powerful tool for motivation and inspiration. On the other hand, it can also be a distraction and a source of stress.
- As a manager, you need to be careful not to cross the line between professional and personal use of social media. You also need to be mindful of the potential impact of your social media campaign on employee morale. If employees feel like they are being monitored or controlled, it could have a negative impact on their work performance.
