Negotiable warehouse receipt, which was launched in 2011, allows transfer of ownership of that commodity stored in a warehouse without having to deliver the physical commodity. These receipts are issued in negotiable form, making them eligible as collateral for loans.

Warehouse receipts are made negotiable under the Warehouse (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007, and regulated by the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA).

NWR are issued by registered warehouses enables farmers to seek loans from banks against NWRs

The government has rolled out negotiable warehousing receipts in electronic format that farmers can use to avail of bank credit easily and without fear of losing or misusing it.

The Generalized System of Preferences, or GSP, is a preferential tariff system which provides tariff reduction on various products. The concept of GSP is very different from the concept of “most favored nation” (MFN). MFN status provides equal treatment in the case of tariff being imposed by a nation but in case of GSP differential tariff could be imposed by a nation on various countries depending upon factors such as whether it is a developed country or a developing country. Both the rules comes under the purview of WTO.

The different types of computing environments are classified into cloud, edge and fog, based on the location of processing unit in the network. While in cloud computing, processing happens at a centralised cloud, in edge computing, processing happens at the location of devices where the data generated. Under Fog computing, the processing unit is placed at a local level network.

The Fog computing architecture is used in various fields of application for example vehicle traffic and smart waste management for the smart cities.

Accordingly Edge computing is more suitable where processing of data is required to be done at the device level like driverless cars and cloud computing is more suitable for AI-based application for the want of large sets of data.
