Question 1 of 5
1. Question
The number of oranges in three baskets are in the ratio of 3: 4 : 5. In which ratio the no. of oranges in first two baskets must be increased so that the new ratio becomes 5: 4: 3?
Correct
Your Answer : B
Explanation : B1 : B2 : B3 = 3x : 4x : 5x again B1 : B2 : B3 =5y:4y:3y .
Since there is increase in no. of oranges in first two basket only, it means the no. of oranges remains constant in the third basket Hence 5x =3y 3x : 4x : 5x 9y/5 : 12y/ 5 : 15y/ 5 = 9y : 12y : 15y and 5y : 4y : 3y= 25y : 20y : 15y
Therefore, increase in first basket = 16 and increase in second basket = 8 the required ratio = 2 : 1

Question 2 of 5
2. Question
What is Mohan’s present age, if after 30 years his age will be 10 times of his age 10 years back?
Correct
Your Answer – C
Explanation: Let Mohan’s present age be x Mohan’s age before 10 years = x – 10) Mohan’s age after 30 years = (x + 30) We are given that, Mohan’s age after 30 years (x + 30) is 10 times his age 10 years back (x – 10) Therefore, (x + 30) = 10 (x – 10) Solving the equation, we get x + 30 = 10x – 100 9x = 130, x = 14.4 years

Question 3 of 5
3. Question
A person purchased 30 apples for Rs 11 each and sold each apple at a different price, every price is between 1 and 30 both inclusive then what is his loss/profit percent?
Correct
Answer : B: Explanation: Total Cost price = 30 × 11 = 330 As we have 30 different prices and 30 apples and each apple is sold at a different price and so Total SP = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 ….. 30 = 30(30+1)/2 = 465 Loss percent = (330–465/330) × 100 = (-135/330)* 100 = (- 40.9%) — loss
