CRR is one of the major weapons in the RBI’s arsenal that allows it to maintain a desired level of inflation, control the money supply, and also liquidity in the economy. The lower the CRR, the higher liquidity with the banks, which in turn goes into investment and lending and vice-versa. Higher CRR can also negatively impact the economy as lesser availability of loanable funds, in turn, slows down investment. It thereby reduces the supply of money in the economy.

Fiscal deficit depends on government’s receipts and expenditures. CRR does not have a direct bearing on fiscal deficit.

Humidity falls as temperature rises.

The world is currently in the grip of a La Nina climate cycle, which typically brings cooler summer weather to India. When that next flips to El Nino, the risks will ramp higher still.

In all Harappan sites excavated so far, there have been similar signs of three tiers of habitation — ‘common settlements’ with mud brick walls, ‘elite settlement’ with burnt brick walls alongside mud brick walls, and possible ‘middle-rung settlements’.

Other noteworthy finds include steatite seals, terracotta bangles, terracotta unbaked sealing with relief of elephants, and the Harappan script.

A large number of steatite beads, beads of semi-precious stones, shells, and objects made of agate and carnelian have been recovered.

Solution: b)

The Constitution of India stands for a secular state. Hence, it does not uphold any particular religion as the official religion of the Indian State. The Preamble secures to all citizens of India liberty of belief, faith and worship. Hence, the Indian Constitution embodies the positive concept of secularism, i.e., giving equal respect to all religions or protecting all religions equally. But Article 28 says that no religious instruction shall be provided in any educational institution maintained by the State. 

Article 15: Prohibition of discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth.

The Islamic Central Waqf Council and many Hindu temples are administered and managed by the Indian government.

Alopecia areata is a condition that causes sudden hair loss in patches. The condition is developed after the immune system attacks the hair follicles, resulting in hair loss, which cannot be observed easily.

Not just the scalp, sudden hairfall may also occur in other parts of the body. “It can occur suddenly in any part of your body like the scalp, beard, moustache, underarms etc.

It may also develop slowly and occur again periodically or repeatedly after years between instances.

In this disorder, your own cells attack the hair and cause them to shed, forming clear patches of hair loss. It mostly occurs in people who have a family history of auto-immune conditions, such as diabetes and thyroid.
