We are naming this initiative as Insta– DART – Daily Aptitude and Reasoning Test. We hope you will be able to use DART to hit bull’s eye in CSAT paper and comfortably score 100+ even in the most difficult question paper that UPSC can give you in CSP-2021. Your peace of mind after every step of this exam is very important for us.
Looking forward to your enthusiastic participation (both in sending us questions and solving them on daily basis on this portal).
Wish you all the best ! 🙂

Question 1 of 5
1. Question
A runs 5/3 times as fast as B. If A given B a start of 80 m, then how far must the winning post from the starting point be so that A and B might reach it at the same time?
Correct
Ans: a
Let the speed of B be x m/s.
∴Speed of A = 1(2/3)x = (5x/3)m/s
Ratio of speed of rates of A and B= 5x/3 : x = 5:3
Because 2m are gained in a race of 5 m.
Because 1 m are gained in a race of 5/2 m.
So, 80 m are gained in a race of (5/2) x 80= 200 m

Question 2 of 5
2. Question
Candidates in a competitive examination consistedof 60% men and 40% women. 70% men and 75% women cleared the qualifying test and entered the final test where 80% men and 70% women were Which of the following statements is correct?
Correct
Ans : c
Let there are 100 persons in which 60 are men and 40 are women. .. Number of men who cleared the qualifying test
= 70 x60/100 = 42
Number of women who cleared the qualifying test
=40*3/4=30
Number of men who get success in final test
=42*4/5=33.6
Number of women who get success in final test
=30 x 70/100=21
Hence , more men cleared the examination than women

Question 4 of 5
4. Question
Which one of the following has least number of divisors?
Correct
Ans: b
Here, 88 = 2* 2* 2 *11 = (2)3 * (11)1
91= (7)1 * (13)1
96=2 *2 *2* 2 *2* 3 = (2)5 * (3)1
And 99 = 3 * 3 * 11 = (3)2* (11)1
So, 91 has least number of divisors.
Incorrect
Ans: b
Here, 88 = 2* 2* 2 *11 = (2)3 * (11)1
91= (7)1 * (13)1
96=2 *2 *2* 2 *2* 3 = (2)5 * (3)1
And 99 = 3 * 3 * 11 = (3)2* (11)1
So, 91 has least number of divisors.

Question 5 of 5
5. Question
A number when divided by 7 leaves a remainder 3 and the resulting quotient, when divided by 11 leaves a remainder 6, If the same number when divided by 11 leaves a remainder m and the resulting quotient when divided by 7 leaves a remainder n.
What are the values of m and n, respectively
Correct
Ans: a
This is an example of successive division. Let the number be N.
The number and successive quotients, the successive divisors and the corresponding remainders are tabulated below.
Quotients N q1 q2 Divisors 7 11 Remainders 3 6 One value of N is 6 *7 +3=45
∴ N = 77k + 45 = 11(7k+4)+1
⇒ m = 1
And q1 = 7k +4,q2 = k and n = 4
∴(m,n) = (1,4)
