Information
Considering the alarming importance of CSAT in UPSC CSE Prelims exam and with enormous requests we received recently, InsightsIAS has started Daily CSAT Test to ensure students practice CSAT Questions on a daily basis. Regular Practice would help one overcome the fear of CSAT too.
We are naming this initiative as Insta– DART – Daily Aptitude and Reasoning Test. We hope you will be able to use DART to hit bull’s eye in CSAT paper and comfortably score 100+ even in the most difficult question paper that UPSC can give you in CSP-2021. Your peace of mind after every step of this exam is very important for us.
Looking forward to your enthusiastic participation (both in sending us questions and solving them on daily basis on this portal).
Wish you all the best ! 🙂

Question 1 of 5
1. Question
- Which of the following symbols should be placed in the blank spaces respectively (in the same order from left to right) in order to complete the given expression in such a manner that ‘P < M’ is definitely true?
M __ N __ O __ P
Correct
Sol: (3)
Let us check the options one by one
Check for (1): M > N ≥ 0 < P
We can’t compare P and M. Hence, does not follow
Check for (2): M ≤ N < O = P
This leads to M < P. Hence, it does not follow.
Check for (3): M ≥ N = O > P
This leads to M > P means P < M. Hence it follows.
Check for (4): M ≥ N = O < P
We can’t compare P and M. Hence, it does not follow.
Incorrect

Question 2 of 5
2. Question
Which of the following symbols should replace the question mark in the given expression in order to make the expression L ≤ I and N > K definitely true?
I ≥ J = K ? L ≤ M < N
Correct
Sol: 4
Let us check all the options one by one.
Check for (1): I ≥ J = K > L ≤ M < N
I > L. And we can’t compare N and K. Hence, option 1) does not follow.
Check for (2): I ≥ J = K ≥ L ≤ M < N
This leads us to I ≥ L. Which means L ≤ I is true. But we can’t compare N and K. Hence, it does not follow.
Check for (3): I ≥ J = K ≤ L ≤ M < N
We can’t compare I and L. Hence, it does not follow.
Incorrect

Question 3 of 5
3. Question
Which of the following expressions is true, if the given expression is true?
A ≤ B = C > D ≥ E < F
Correct
Sol: (3)
Given expression:
A ≤ B = C > D ≥ E < F
We can’t compare A and D, and C and F. Hence, option 2) and 4) do not follow.
Again, B > E is true. Thus, option 3) follows but option 1) does not follow.
Incorrect
Sol: (3)
Given expression:
A ≤ B = C > D ≥ E < F
We can’t compare A and D, and C and F. Hence, option 2) and 4) do not follow.
Again, B > E is true. Thus, option 3) follows but option 1) does not follow.

Question 4 of 5
4. Question
If Nikita > Lalit and Rashi < Nikita then which of the following symbols should be placed in the blank spaces respectively (from left to right)?
Priya < Rashi ≤ Sashi = Maya _ Nikita = Kavita _ Lalit
Correct
Sol: (4)
Check options one by one.
Check for (1): Priya < Rashi ≤ Sashi = Maya < Nikita = Kavita ≥ Lalit
This leads us to Nikita ≥ Lalit. Hence, does not follow.
Check for (2): Priya < Rashi ≤ Sashi = Maya ≤ Nikita = Kavita > Lalit
This leads to Nikita > Lalit. Hence, follows. But Rashi ≤ Nikita does not follow.
Check for (3): Priya < Rashi ≤ Sashi = Maya ≤ Nikita = Kavita ≥ Lalit
This leads us to Nikita ≥ Lalit and Rashi ≤ Nikita. Hence, does not follow.
Check for (4): Priya < Rashi ≤ Sashi = Maya < Nikita = Kavita > Lalit
This leads us to Nikita > Lalit and Rashi < Nikita. Hence, follows.
Incorrect

Question 5 of 5
5. Question
Which of the following symbols should be placed in the blank spaces respectively (left to right) in order to complete the given expression in such a
Correct
Sol: (4)
Check for (1): P ≤ Q ≤ R = S = T
Hence Q < T does not follow and P ≤ S means S ≥ P follows.
Check for (2): P < Q = R ≤ S < T
Hence, Q < T is true but S ≥ P does not follow.
Check for (3): P ≥ Q = R > S < T
We can’t compare Q and T.
Check for (4): P ≤ Q = R = S < T
This leads us to Q < T is true and P ≤ S or S ≥ P is true. Hence follows.
Incorrect
Sol: (4)
Check for (1): P ≤ Q ≤ R = S = T
