Question 2 of 5
2. Question
A boy multiplied 987 by a certain number and obtained 559981 as his answer. If in the answer both 98 are wrong and the other digits are correct, then the correct answer would be
Correct
Answer: C) 555681
Explanation:
987 = 3 * 7 * 47.
So, the required number must be divisible by each one of 3, 7, 47
553681 => (Sum of digits = 28, not divisible by 3)
555181 => (Sum of digits = 25, not divisible by 3)
555681 is divisible by each one of 3, 7, 47.Incorrect

Question 3 of 5
3. Question
What will be unit digit in 357 x 641 x 763?
Correct
Sol: c
357 = (34)14 x 3
So Unit digit in 357
= Unit digit in 1 x 3
= 3
641 = (64)10 x 6
So Unit digit in 641
= Unit digit in 6 x 6
= 6
763 = (74)15 x 73
So Unit digit in 761
= Unit digit in 1 x 343
= 3
So Unit digit in 357 x 641 x 763
= Unit digit in 3 x 6 x 3
= 4
We’ve used following formulae here:
Unit digit in 34 = 1
Unit digit in 64 = 6
Unit digit in 74 = 1
So Unit digit
– in ((3)4)n) will be 1.
– in ((6)4)n) will be 6.
– in ((7)4)n) will be 1.
Incorrect
Sol: c
357 = (34)14 x 3
So Unit digit in 357
= Unit digit in 1 x 3
= 3
641 = (64)10 x 6
So Unit digit in 641
= Unit digit in 6 x 6
= 6
763 = (74)15 x 73
So Unit digit in 761
= Unit digit in 1 x 343
= 3
So Unit digit in 357 x 641 x 763
= Unit digit in 3 x 6 x 3
= 4
We’ve used following formulae here:
Unit digit in 34 = 1
Unit digit in 64 = 6
Unit digit in 74 = 1
So Unit digit
– in ((3)4)n) will be 1.
– in ((6)4)n) will be 6.
– in ((7)4)n) will be 1.

Question 4 of 5
4. Question
A thief is noticed by a policeman from a distance of 200 m. The thief starts running and the policeman chases him. The thief and the policeman run at the rate of 10 km and 11 km per hour respectively. What is the distance between them after 6 minutes?
Correct
Sol. (a) 100 m
Explanation:
Relative speed of the thief and policeman = (11 – 10) km/hr = 1 km/hrDistance covered in 6 minutes = (1/60) x 6 km = 1/10 km = 100 m
Therefore, Distance between the thief and policeman = (200 – 100) m = 100 m.
Incorrect
Sol.
