P,Q and R are three towns. The distance between P and Q is 60 km, whereas the distance between P and R is 80 km. Q is in the West of P and R is in the South of P. What is the distance between Q and R?
Correct
Sol. d)
According to the question,
Now in ∆PQR,
By Pythagoras theorem,
Q = Q + P
Q = +
Q =3600 + 6400
Q 10000
QR =
= 100 km
So, the distance between Q and R is 100 km.
Incorrect
Sol. d)
According to the question,
Now in ∆PQR,
By Pythagoras theorem,
Q = Q + P
Q = +
Q =3600 + 6400
Q 10000
QR =
= 100 km
So, the distance between Q and R is 100 km.

Correct
Sol. a)
Let ‘F’ represents fly, then following figure 1 may be drawn as per data given in question.
Here, CF is to be find out.
Now fly has distance of 1 m and 8 m from two walls as represented by figure 2.
Incorrect
Sol. a)
