Question 4 of 5
4. Question
Deb bought 100 kg of rice for 1100 and sold it at a loss of as much money as he received for 20 kg rice. At what price did he sell the rice?
Correct
Answer : b
The problem is structured in such a way that you should be able to interpret that if he had sold 120kg of rice he would recover the investment on 100kg of rice.
% Loss/Profit = [(Goods left)/(Goods sold)]x100
(-20/120)x100 = 16.66% loss.
Since, cost price for Deb is Rs. 11; selling price per kg would be Rs. 9.166.
