Day – 44
1. Your company has spent years on developing a hybrid car which has the highest fuel efficiency and is being touted by many as a game changer in the automobile industry. Presently, your company is in a near bankrupt position since huge amounts of company resources were used in the development of the hybrid car. Your hybrid car has got the approval from the concerned government agencies and production on a large scale has already been started.
During the course of production, a flaw was detected which could prove fatal to the users. Addressing this fatal flaw would mean further delay and any such delay will lead your company further into the brink of bankruptcy which will result in the closure of the company and also job loss
Some of your advisers have advised not to delay the launch over this reason; the logic behind their reasoning is that the flaw detected will only impact 1% of the total cars produced.
In this context, answer the following questions:
- As the head of this company, identify your priorities in this situation.
- Discuss in an elaborate manner on how you would manage this situation.
