3. Question
In a test, a candidate attempted only 8 questions and secured 50% marks in each of the questions. If he obtained a total of 40% in the test and all questions in the test carried equal marks, how many questions were there in the test?
Correct
Answer : B
Let total Number of questions be = N
Let each question is of x marks
Solution 1 →
Attempted = 8 Questions
Scored = 50 % marks in each questions

Total marks scored T1 = 8*0.5*x = 4x
Solution 2→
No of Question attempted = N
Marks in each Question = 0.4*x
Total marks T2 = N*0.4*x
As = T1=T2
4x = N*0.4*x
N = 10
