Details of the program
Until recently, this part was a minor area of syllabus and didn’t require much of structured preparation. But in the last three years, these two sections together have averaged 140 marks in GS syllabus. This is more than any traditional subject like polity, economy and history.
In this context, to gain an edge over the competition, it becomes imperative to have a structured preparation for these subjects also.
This program is an attempt to provide the necessary knowledge and skills through answer writing, discussion of answers, and coverage of major static and current affairs topics relevant for the UPSC CSE mains exam.
GS1 Society part and GS2 Social Justice part are comprehensively covered from static perspective. Along with this, major issues in news which have relevance with these topics are identified and covered from the perspective of mains.
Moreover, a strong hold in society and social justice will help in getting 10 to 15 extra marks in Essay paper, adding some extra dimensions in GS4 ethics paper also.
Who is the program for?
In our experience, the one month after prelims is a crucial differentiating factor between those who clear mains and others who get close, but are unable to clear the exam.
The anxiety in students about prelims result, cut-off etc is understandable. But if this time after prelims and before result is not put to productive use, students tend to lose the edge in Mains.
To help students maintain focus and at the same time cover major chunk of syllabus within shortest period of time, this program is designed for those who are attempting 2020 prelims.
By joining this program, You will provide proper structure to your preparation during this anxious phase, get sufficient writing practice and within a week, gain confidence that you can answer any given question in society and social justice part better than others.
