 It said the daughters would have coparcenary rights in joint Hindu family property even if the father died before the Hindu Succession (Amendment) Act 2005. A bench of Justices Arun Mishra, S Abdul Nazeer and M R Shah said the provisions contained in substituted Section 6 of the Hindu Succession Act, 1956 conferred the status of coparcener on the daughter born before or after amendment in the same manner as a son with the same rights and liabilities.

7. You have been considered for the post of joint secretary in the government of India through lateral entry. You know that there is considerable difference in the work cultures of the two institutions- Private and Government. What, do you think, will be issues in front of you while working in the government set-up? How would you tackle these issues?  (250 words)

Discuss specifically the issues – Acceptability, Profit Vs. People, Technology available, Incentive structure and motivation etc.

Conclude that difference in work culture is not only in terms of the objectives of institutions and the functioning of the HR policy but also in terms of capacity of people. To successfully wade through the issues as an able manager with operational and technological expertise, requires aligning of individual aspirations with organizational goals.
