According to the Honourable Minister for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, there are chances of advancing the date of UPSC civil services preliminary exam – 2020. The final decision on this will be taken on this on May 3.
However, you should note that this is not a conclusive news. In the best case scenario, if covid situation in India normalises before first week of May 2020, chances are still high that prelims might still be conducted on May 31st.
From our behalf, we suggest you to prepare with the same intensity as it’s going on now – with the strong belief that Prelims will be conducted on May 31st itself.
Never tell yourself that you are going to get ‘more time’ if prelims is postponed; or gap between prelims and mains will be reduced etc. Never rationalise, or give yourself any excuses. These uncertainties test your character to the core. Stay firm, stay strong and never vacillate. Only the weak seek excuses to escape the present hardship. Unwavering determination is the need of the hour.
On May 3 you will get more clarity on the dates. Let it be just another update. Neither this post, nor other news affect your momentum. Even if Prelims is scheduled in July 2020, study with the same determination. We know it’s difficult. But, there is no other option. Either stay strong and succeed; or stay weak and perish.
