7) Recently, on the occasion of new year celebrations, thousands of revellers had gathered in and around Mahatma Gandhi Road and Brigade Road to ring in 2017, as is something of a tradition in the city. But, according to reports that subsequently emerged, a large number of women were sexually assaulted around midnight. However, no complaint has been registered with the police. Meanwhile, state Home Minister has blamed ‘western culture’ being followed by women for the incident. 

a) Why do you think girls who were molested doesn’t come forward to register complaint?
