Is It Time for India to End Caste Based Reservations?
Have we finally arrived at a situation where we must end caste based reservation in jobs and education? Is the continuation of reservations justified? Who are benefiting most from reservations and why? Are the communities which are not getting reservation benefits unfairly treated by the government? Is it constitutional to keep some out of these benefits while providing others the same? Has historical injustice been corrected? Why should not reservations continue considering they are there just for six decades (compared to the existence of oppression for centuries before that and its continued existence in various forms now)?
