I wouldn’t dare say that I can paraphrase it any better. The long and arduous journey of civil services imposes a lot of challenges, some which are simple and direct, some which seem insurmountable, it keeps us on our knees for a bit, makes us think of a few possible scenarios, a few outcomes which may or may not happen a few which can render us motionless for a few moments. But you all have something very special when you are in the journey, the pursuit, the dream and the passion. The fire that makes you go all out, that makes you want to conquer the world, that fire which makes you wake up early in the morning and sleep late in the night, that fire which makes you temporarily sacrifice the smaller pleasures for the bigger picture, that fire which defines you, cajoles you, cares for you and above all makes you who you are.
As the journey gets longer and tougher, it is easy to be caught up in the delusion of the peer group, a societal pressure, the minor disappointments, the experiences which make us question ourselves. But none of these compare to the fire in you, the thought that makes you and adorns you. That FIRE which is the singlemost precious thing in this world, that fire which is true success!
