“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing.”

– Theodore Roosevelt

This happens specifically when it comes to taking decisions, especially with which books to read, which coaching classes to join, who to take guidance from and importantly who not to take guidance from, whom to trust as friends, whom to treat as competition… So on and so forth, the list never ends.

And there are so many lists available there, person A says X is the best book for Indian Polity and person B says Y is the best book. But really which one is the best book? Some people are comfortable with A and some are comfortable with B.

I am not saying don’t do your research, do it, check a few sites, take a decision, pick up book A. If it doesn’t work, pick up book B. But please pick up a book and start. There is usually a lot of time lost in trying to make the right decision that we often end up spending more time there than the reason as to why we are doing it in the first place. It is ok to make a few mistakes as long as you are not compromising on the bigger picture.
