1. In the normal course of economic development of a country, the primary and the secondary sector provide a base for the services or tertiary sector to grow. However, in India, on the contrary, the services sector has ‘outperformed’ all other sectors of the economy. Do you agree with this statement? Critically examine the underlying causes and implications of this abnormal shift in the Indian economy. (400 words)

2. “Despite a significant decline in the share of agriculture in India’s GDP over the decades, the number of people dependent on it has not reduced substantially.” How have the 1991 economic reforms affected the quantity and quality of employment generation in India? Critically examine. What would be your suggestions to revive micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) affected by 1991 economic reforms?  (400 words)
