Dude , You once shared a trick to remember some stuff related to earthquakes … Can you repost that please ?

        • Ankit

Confusion between P and S wave which can pass through liquid. So to remember it we can think like this –

EQ aya hai ye pata chalne ke liye pehle koi EQ wave to aane chahiye na. Aur sabse pehle kaunsi wave ati hai? P wave. So P wave ko to ana hi hoga to tell us that EQ aya hai. So P wave can pass through liquid.

About the two scales for measuring EQ.
Mercalli – isme “Mer” ata hai means log margaye. And it ends with “I” to matlab Mercalli hume batayega Intensity which means kya effect hua EQ ka.

Aur dusra hai Richter scale. To automatically wo kya batayega? Magnitude.
