      Explained in simple terms hence highly effective. Just in intro add that “Situational Leadership is adapting different leadership style for different levels of employees. Add “adapt” or similar word, rest is great.

      Very well put, I was trying to find the relevant “theory” for this, However I believe this was the right way to tackle it. You can also add in example how his enthusiasm can be improved his improving productivity.

        I will be relying on IGNOU notes and Internet. I have heard that a book by B Mahadevan is also nice, concepts are well explained, However it does not have case studies, You know any source where one can find OM case studies, except question papers?

    Explain how the instrumental values helps in attending terminal values?

    Ans – Values are defined as ideals oor beliefs that a person holdds desirable or undesirable. According to Rokeach, Values are enduring beleifs that a specific mode of conduct or end state of existence is personally or socially preferable.

    Values that are modes of conduct are referred to as instrumental values. Example being self-respect, inner peace, professional exc excellence. Those values that are end-states of existence are terminal values.Example can be Honesty, Integrity etc.

    Terminal Values are the goals that we work towards and views it as most desirable.Instrumental Values are majorily more foccused on personality traits and character which are the means to attain or achieve the terminal goals.

    Example – A person comes up in the mainstream politics on the support of common people for a paticular cause or prevailinng problem. It he remains committed or honest to his aim, he will achieve the top spot thus satisfaction in fulfilling the peoples trust. Thus Instrumental values are the mode of conduct which if followed , helps to attain terminal value or ultimate aim.
